Hairy, all ya gots to do is to point us in the right direction and any of your requests will be a done deal. Personnelly I very partial to the old diesel boats because in my 7 yrs of sea duty all I saw was very little sunlight, breathed a whole lot of diesel perfume, drank my share of hydraulic oil via morning coffee and everywhere inbetween. Here;s to the canuks and part of our own specialized group of guys just a little off zero bubble but thats OK. You've always got friends around here Big gu

You have a great web site. I would love to be able to tour your boat. I qualified on the U.S.S. Bergall SS-320 in 1950

Good to see you diesel boat sailors still going to sea. WE in the USA no longer have "smoke boats". They have long been gone. As a submariner from long ago who served on them I sure would like to go to sea with you one more time and experience the roar of the engines, the sound of the klaxon and the silence of the dive. May your dives equal your surfaces. Joe Roche-Engineman 3rd class (SS)

Great site!!! Aaron Kifr a great mate from Newfoundland steered me here and I thank him. I served 8 years on USA submarines, mostly diesels, back in the '60s I would like to invite y'all to come visit us at www.submarinesailor.com and join in our fun and games. We have a few Aussies and some Brits that spend time there with us, so, come on down and spend a while. Cheers!

I was led to this web page by the above, or in this case, 'below', "Hairball". I am a US Submariner who had the chance to sail a nuclear fast attack as well as spend a short time on one of our diesel subs too. I'm honored to share the submariner brotherhood with my brothers to the north. Many years ago I had the chance to tour the HMCS Grilse when she visited Pearl Harbor, the only Canadian sub I have ever been aboard. Fair winds and following seas, shipmates. Mind your bubble.

A few years ago I managed to get invited to a VIP reception while you were in St. John's and it was fantastic. I am not a VIP, but I have a deep love of, quote smokeboats unquote and have studied USN Fleet Class, Balao and became, by invite, a member of the USSVI, Escolar Base. The suit I wore during my visit is now stored in a plastic bag so I can inhale that wonderful smell that says, quote SUBMARINE unquote when I inhale. You guys are the greatest! BZ! Hairball (my boat-board name).

Hello, I am the Secretary of the Naval Officers Association in your host city. We would dearly love to get some news of your boat's activities and your crew. Communication would be greatly admired by the Secret Service. We would like to give a report/update at our next month's meeting, as well as pass it along to the naval community in Windsor. Thank you. Hope to hear from you.
