Ship Departments

Executive Department

   The function of the Executive Department is to provide general administrative, medical and regulating services to the ship.

   To execute this function it is divided into three divisions:

  1. Resource Management Support (RMS) Division
  2. Medical Division; and
  3. Regulating Division.

The Executive Officer is the ship's second in command to the Commanding Officer. He is responsible for the training and well being of the entire ship's company. The Coxswain is responsible for dress and deportment on the ship, he leads the other Chief's and Petty Officers on the ship. The Senior Med A is responsible for providing medical care to the over 200 members of the ship's company.
