Overview
You will be responsible for conducting operations using compressed air breathing apparatus, performing underwater inspections of port and harbour facilities, participating in mine countermeasures operations, and many other port-related activities.

Port Inspection Divers (PID) are responsible for conducting operations using compressed air breathing apparatus (CABA), performing underwater inspections of port and harbour facilities, participating in mine countermeasures (MCM) operations, performing underwater search and recovery operations, performing identification of surface and underwater ordnance, recognizing diving or pressure-related ailments, neutralizing underwater anti-ship sabotage devices, and providing assistance to civil authorities.
They must also carry out several tasks in order to support diving activities such as driving inflated boats, preparing dive sites, and maintaining equipment. They must also carry out the instruction and administration of the Diving Branch.
