Eligibility to join the Naval Reserve

The Naval Reserve is an equal opportunity employer. All branches of the Canadian Forces are open to men and women. We do have certain criteria that must be met. As all employers do. Here are the basic eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen,
  • From ages 17 to 57,
  • 16 year old enrollees are permissible, if they maintain full-time student status until the age of 17, and
  • Must have a minimum of a provincial Grade 10 or Secondary IV (Quebec) education.
