I commissioned ship in Sorel, did 2 different tours on her amounting to 7 yrs.Wondering why they don't invite the old comm. crew to 40th anniversary .It was alwauys a good crew when I was aboard. We had a great anniversary's for 10th and20th Inviting the old crew back,it would mean a lot to that great crew, they were the best.

I was part of the pre-commissioning crew and continued to serve aboard until 1975. I watch with great interest the continuing story of Iroquois. To the current crew of Iroquois -
Take good care of my baby. I'll be watching!

I sailed on the Iroquois from 74 to 77, as a radioman. I will be back in Halifax for the month of September and interested in taking part in some of the events.

As a member of the Commissioning crew, and one who has his son's name on the bell, I like to follow that ship. Just found out about this page, but will be back for more.
Webmaster, is it possible to get a picture of the bell showing the name Scott Fox as having been christened ?

During fleet week NY. I got the opportunity to work with crew members of HMS IROQUIS. It was a pleasure indeed. Being in the U.S navy it was quite an eye opener getting to know and learn traditions of the navy from the other side of the boarder. Special thanks to Leading Seaman Sear. And sailor Christine, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome on the ship. Fair winds everyone and i cant wait to get to work with you guys again.

Dear Comd Hamilton and ships company,
I would like to thank you all very much for looking after Owen MacCloud and his family last June 17th. He had a fabulous day and still talks about it. You made a wish come true for this little boy who is so proud to wear his Captains hat.
I appologise for not getting back sooner to thank you and hope wherever you are that you are safe. Also to thank the staff at your headquarters for initiating the visit.
Finally, In remembrance of Airborne Forces Day 6 June 1944, You may remember I presented the Pegasus flag! To all those who served off the beaches that day and to all of you.
Have a rum for me.
Kind regards
Chris Biggs
