The Navy encourages its members to take advantage of all education support programmes available to them. DND and CF are making resources available to support professional and personal development of military and civilian personnel. Available resources may vary from one base to the other but personnel are encouraged to make optimal use of these resources.

Naval personnel are also encouraged to ask for military equivalencies for civilian education, training and/or experience. They are also encouraged to seek for recognition for their military education, training and experience that are transferable to the civilian sector.
