The Canadian Naval Centennial 1910-2010 Project is pleased to offer two-dimension (2-D) paper models that can be downloaded and printed at home using ordinary colour printers. These simple 2D paper models are educational and fun to make.
The models offered are representative of past and current Canadian naval history.
Building the models requires very few tools. The typical completion time is between 5-10 minutes. All ship models are at the same scale, which makes size comparison very realistic. The 2D model kit pages should be printed on normal weight (20 lb) paper. Light cardstock may be used, but cutting and folding might be more difficult.
WARNING: The suitable minimum age is 7+ years. If a hobby knife is used to cut around the profile, parental assistance and supervision is strongly recommended.
All models come with the assembling instructions, the history and characteristics and the 2D model. To access the models, select from the list on the left of the screen, then click on the photo.
In order to view the 2D model, Acrobat Reader from Adobe Systems is required. Acrobat Reader can be downloaded by clicking on the icon below.
